Students use the laptops to research topics related to Treasure Island
by Robert Louis Stevenson. They explore links to learn about piracy,
expand their vocabulary, and investigate themes of greed, good vs.
evil, and the pirates' code of honor. The online research provides
daily opportunities for students to use their word processing skills to
record information and respond to daily writing prompts.
