Science
Students use Excel to create
spreadsheets and graph scientific data. While taking notes and tests in
Micorsoft Word, students practice word processing and formatting
skills.

completing teacher-directed online research, students work
cooperatively to create PowerPoint Presentations as a culminating
project to showcase what they learned.
Math
An online virtual math manipulative site provides opportunity to
reinforce skills as students enter data from a homework assignment and
decide how to graphically represent it.
English Language Arts
Internet
Safety is the theme for composing thirty-second public service
announcements. Before students visit local radio station WMNB to record
the PSAs, they practice using the iBook GarageBand program. The word
processed scripts will be shared with the Conte school community during
morning announcements.
Social Studies
Students
use several technology tools to create comprehensive audio video
presentations on Ancient Rome. Digital cameras, flash drives,
GarageBand, PowerPoint, and iMovie were some of the tools the students
utilized.
Social Studies
After completing online Webquests on Mohammad and the Five Pillars of Islam, students create PowerPoint presentations as a final assessment product. Accompanying scripts reflect students' writing skills in the content areas.
